Nursery school, 1958.

I actually remember making this impression of my hands back in nursery school. It involved dipping them in a shallow tub filled with some sort of liquid with the piece of blue paper on the bottom. I don't remember exactly how the process worked, but the liquid, as I recall, was icky.

Hi! We don't know each other, but I just wanted to drop by and tell you how much I admire your blog. I recently stumbled upon it when I was in search of information relating to the long gone Regent Palace hotel in London and came across yorstories. I find them so rich and fulfilling, as well as relatable. I've enjoyed reading about little snippets of your life and hope you are doing well. Please continue doing what you're doing here.

Thank you for your kind words! Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads this blog at all, so it's nice to hear from people when they do. I don't update it very often anymore because I've already told all the stories about my family that I had in mind, and my life these days isn't very exciting, so there's little if any news to post. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here, and glad to hear you're a Regent Palace fan, too!
